As the umbrella association of 24 member associations, the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry (t+m) represents the interests of 1.400 textile, fashion and shoe producing companies at economic, social as well as tariff policy level.
In terms of its annual turnover of 32 billion Euros (60 % textile, 40 % clothing) and the size of its labour force, the textile and fashion industry represents Germany’s most important consumer goods sector.
t+m strives to safeguard and promote the innovative capacity and creativity of the German textile and fashion industry worldwide while demonstrating the appeal of Germany for the industry, both at home and abroad. Based on this principle, t+m supports the international trade and export activities of the German Textile and Fashion Industry.
Our member association, the Association of the German Home Textiles Industry (Heimtex), is the economic organisation of the German home textiles industry. Members of the association are German producers of home textiles - such as textile floor covering products, curtains, furnishing and decoration fabrics, bedding, bathroom textiles, laces, embroideries - as well as companies from European countries selling their products on the German market. Heimtex offers various services to its members, among others individual legal advice, support in market access, public relations, technical and environmental questions, standardisation, occupational safety, statistics, and market research.
Further information on the tasks, activities and services of t+m and Heimtex is available on www.textil-mode.de respectively www.heimtex.de.
